Peter J. Sposato Scholarship

Peter J. Sposato attended the School of Engineering at the University of Virginia where he graduated magna cum laude in 1979.  During his time on Grounds, Peter demonstrated an exceptional ability to balance athletic pursuits and academic achievement. He was an accomplished member of the baseball team and notably holds the University’s single game record for RBIs (10) and home runs (4). For decades Peter worked in commercial engineering in New York City, and he now oversees his own consulting business, PJSVision, which services architectural, engineering, and construction firms.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a current second- or third-year student who best exemplifies the qualities that marked Peter’s time at the University and how he approaches life to this day. These characteristics include: academic achievement, uncompromising integrity, and an abiding love for the University.
