The Banks and Bradby Family Scholarship was created in 2021 by Shavonne Banks Gordon, a 1995 graduate of the School of Engineering and Applied Science. She and her family value education and hope this scholarship will enable the recipients to attend the University of Virginia with fewer financial worries and less debt upon graduation. Eligible students will be incoming African American students with a GPA of 2.7 or above who are majoring in a STEM field and have demonstrated financial need. The award is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study provided recipients maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above and remain eligible for financial aid.
