Tip #1
When reaching out, use a warm tone and approach the request like a business email. Be professional without becoming stuffy.

Indicate why you are reaching out to this person specifically. Explain not just how you hope they can help you, but how you can help them as well.

If making a request, be sure to thank the person for their time.
