Review Committees evaluate scholarship applications in three cycles: fall (November), spring (March and April), and summer (June and July). Committee members are not obligated to participate in all three cycles.
Each review cycle requires committee members to assess 15-30 scholarship applications, with the most significant time commitment occurring during the spring. For the spring cycle, members should plan to dedicate approximately 5-6 hours of review time over two 2-week periods in March and April. The fall and summer cycles will require about 2-3 hours of review time over the same duration.
UVA alumni who complete this interest form may be considered for participation in any or all scholarship cycles. Regular committee members are encouraged to serve for a 3-year term, reviewing applications for at least one cycle each year.
