About Daphne Norvell
Daphne DuRocher Norvell (Com ’92) received her degree in Accounting from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Daphne spent the first 8 years of her career working for Deloitte in their Audit Practice in Washington DC, Pittsburgh and Charlotte. Her main clients were in the fields of banking, telecommunications and other service industries. Daphne loved the people side of her job and decided to change career directions; she moved to Human Resources for Deloitte. While in Human Resources, Daphne worked with all lines of business on employee relations, career coaching, and feedback, as well as compensation planning and recruiting.
After taking a break from the work force for a few years, Daphne was hired at Sherpa LLC. Sherpa is a regional recruiting firm in the Carolinas that emphasizes Accounting and Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources, and Executive Support. In her role as a Senior Finance Recruiter, Daphne focuses on helping clients fill CFO positions and other positions within a CFO’s organization. This is a perfect fit for Daphne – a former public accountant who is a people person!
Daphne considers it a good day at the office when her client finds the ideal candidate for an open position, and the candidate receives an offer for their ideal position! Daphne is a regular presenter at Charlotte Works, a private/public partnership that brings together Charlotte area resources to engage, empower and employ Charlotte’s workforce to meet current business climate needs.
