Career and Job Fairs are opportunities to make connections, develop employer relationships and obtain interviews. Whether you’re attending the next DCHoos Career Fair, an upcoming professional association conference, or participating in job fairs in your hometown, join us for strategies, tips and techniques to make your next fair experience a success. Emily Bardeen will teach you what to plan for ahead of time, what to bring (and not to bring), how use your time effectively at a fair, how to craft an introduction that makes a good impression, what to wear, and how to follow-up after the fair.

About Emily Bardeen

Emily Bardeen is the Director of Alumni Career Services (ACS) at the University of Virginia Alumni Association.  She has been associated with the University community since 1998 as a University Career Services Career Counselor, Director of Faculty & Staff Career Services and founding Director of ACS. Emily transitioned from a career in information technology business development to career and organizational consulting, with industry knowledge spanning government, higher education, private and nonprofit sectors. She holds degrees from William Smith College and Georgetown University; and numerous career and organizational development certifications.
