Event Description: Two months ago, the world watched in horror as white supremacists and neo-Nazis brought violence and intimidation to Charlottesville and the University. Risa Goluboff, Dean of the School of Law and Chair of the Deans Working Group, will reflect on August 11-12, the academic issues those events raise, and the University’s response to them. Young Alumni Reunions (YAR)

Location: McIntire Amphitheatre
Event Description: Young Alumni Reunions (YAR) is the UVA young alumni party of the year. YAR takes place in Charlottesville on the Saturday night of Homecomings Weekend and welcomes the 4 most recently graduated classes of UVA alumni back to Grounds with a DJ and dancing, photo booth and late-night food and drink. Young alumni from the classes of 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 can purchase tickets online.

Pancakes for Parkinson’s

Event Description: Pancakes for Parkinson’s (P4P) is one of UVa’s largest, nonprofits. P4P raises money for Parkinson’s Disease research through the Michael J. Fox Foundation. We also promote awareness on UVa Grounds and in the local Charlottesville area. Come out to celebrate Homecomings Weekend with some free, delicious pancakes and to honor those with Parkinson’s Disease!
