Before every home game of the 2023 football season, join us at Alumni Hall for Charlottesville’s biggest tailgate party!
The festivities begin 3 hours prior to kickoff, and end 30 minutes before the start of the game so fans can make it to Scott Stadium on time. Each tailgate features a complimentary shuttle to the game, on-site parking for Alumni Association contributing members, food and drink for purchase, and more!

Parking
On home football game days, complimentary parking at Alumni Hall is reserved for Alumni Association Contributing Members on a first-come, first-served basis. Contributing Members must show their membership cards (available digitally through the UVA Alumni Association Member App, which can be found on the App Store and Google Play) to access to the lot.
Transportation to Scott Stadium
The Alumni Association provides a complimentary shuttle from Alumni Hall to Scott Stadium, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The shuttle operates on a continues 20 minute loop, with service beginning 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to kickoff and ending at kickoff.
You can hop on the shuttle at the University Transit Service bus stop on Emmet Street directly in front of Alumni Hall. The shuttle will drop you off at the East Gate of Scott Stadium, located on Whitehead Road. There is no return shuttle to Alumni Hall after the game.
Food and Beverage
Food and beverage (both alcoholic and non) will be available for purchase during the tailgates at Alumni Hall.
More Than the Score
The Office of Engagement’s Lifetime Learning program partners with the Alumni Association to offer More Than the Score, a gameday lecture series featuring UVA faculty. Lectures take place at Alumni Hall or Newcomb Hall from 10-11 a.m. on the days of home football games. We at the UVA Alumni Association continue to mourn the loss of Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry and are praying for the recovery of Mike Hollins and Marlee Morgan. Our hearts go out to the victims’ loved ones and members of the close-knit UVA Football family. In our grief, we have found comfort in the resilience, compassion, and care demonstrated by our Wahoo community. May we continue to lean on each other as we navigate the long road ahead.
