Sneak Peek at U.Va. Reunions Weekend 2015

Movie on the Lawn
Thursday, June 4 • 9–11 p.m.
Kick off Reunions Weekend with an evening of laughter under the stars. Join your classmates for a late-night screening of the classic film Back to the Future on an impressive 26-foot movie screen. Blankets and popcorn will be provided. Additional refreshments will be available for purchase. This movie was released in 1985 and is rated PG.
Virginia Wine Festival
Friday, June 5 • 1–4:30 p.m.
Multiple vineyards from Charlottesville and the surrounding region will offer tastings of their finest wines. Vineyards will also have bottles of wine available for purchase for those interested in taking a bottle (or two) back home. Participation requires an additional fee of $15 per person.
Hoos in Entertainment
Friday, June 5 • 4 –5:15 p.m.
Join panelists Ron Hohauser (Col ’90), founder and principal of Latus Advisors and former CFO of Summit Entertainment; Tucker Cawley (Col ’90), writer/producer of Everybody Loves Raymond and Parks and Recreation; Dave Kennedy (Col ’75), writer and producer of Field of Lost Shoes; Jennifer O’Connor (Col ’05), co-executive producer of MTV’s Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and the head of development for Super Jacket Productions; and Carter Covington (Col ’95), executive producer/showrunner of MTV’s Faking It, in a conversation about today’s entertainment industry. Jody Kielbasa, vice provost for the arts at the University of Virginia and director of the Virginia Film Festival, will moderate this panel.
A Presidential Perspective on U.Va.’s Future
Saturday, June 6 • 11 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
President Teresa Sullivan will describe how the University is planning for its bicentennial and the beginning of its third century with guidance from its bold new strategic Cornerstone Plan.

Registration for Reunions Weekend 2015 will being in February. You will receive complete information in the mail and online registration begins February 2, 2015. However, you can start preparing now by letting your classmates know you plan to attend and by booking your lodging.
