Girls on the Run 5K Event Volunteering

Metro: Navy Yard Metro, East Entrance at New Jersey Ave. SE for shuttle service to Anacostia Park
Parking: On-site parking will be available for volunteers.
Girls on the Run is a life-changing, character development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade. Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) event with healthy living education. They serve over 900 girls across all eight wards of DC each season (Fall & Spring).
At the Girls on the Run 5K event volunteers will get to distribute water to the runners on the course, assist along the course to keep it clear for all runners, help load the van with all race materials and gear, etc. All volunteers will be given a volunteer shirt or hat on race day!
