Who is invited to attend YAR?

YAR welcomes the three most recent undergraduate classes of UVA young alumni back to Charlottesville on Homecomings night. This year, members of the Classes of 2023, 2022, and 2021, and their guests, are invited to attend.

All YAR attendees must be over the age of 21, regardless of graduation year, and will have their IDs checked by security staff at the entrance to the event.

Tickets for YAR 2023 are on sale now! Ticket sales close on Saturday, October 7 at 4 p.m., or when capacity is reached.

What is included in the cost of a YAR ticket?

A ticket to YAR includes complimentary beer, hard cider and non-alcoholic beverages, late-night snacks, and event access.

Your YAR ticket does not include a ticket to the Homecomings football game. Football tickets must be purchased separately.

Are YAR tickets refundable?

YAR tickets are fully refundable until one week before the event. All cancellation or refund requests must be made by 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 30.

To request a refund online through your Eventbrite account:
Eventbrite automatically creates an account with the email address you used to purchase a ticket. If refund requests are allowed, you’ll see the option to request one in your account:

  1. Log in to Eventbrite.
  2. Go to “Tickets” in your account. Select the ticket you want a refund for.
  3. Click “Request a refund”.
  4. Enter your details and submit your request.

Or, email with your refund request by 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 30.

When and where can I buy tickets?

YAR registration is open now and closes on Saturday, October 7 at 4 p.m., or when YAR reaches capacity. Buy your ticket.

There are no on-site ticket sales. YAR tickets can only be purchased on the YAR website in advance. Tickets will not be sold or altered at the door of the event. No exceptions.

Can I bring a guest to YAR?

Yes. Undergraduate alumni from the Classes of 2023, 2022, and 2021 can purchase one YAR ticket for themselves and up to three guest tickets when registration opens in August. All YAR attendees must over 21.

To enter the event, the name on each YAR ticket must match the name on each individual attendee’s government issued ID, which will be checked by event security at the door of the event.

I’ve registered for YAR but I can’t find my ticket. What should I do?

Your ticket was sent to you via email and is also available via the Eventbrite app.

Your ticket email is from Eventbrite and the subject line is “Your Tickets for Young Alumni Reunions 2023.” If you can’t find it in your inbox, check your spam/junk/promotions folders.

If you need help finding your ticket, please contact before Friday, October 6 at 5 p.m. If you need help locating your ticket the day of the event, please visit the Box Office at the Ting Pavilion after 8 p.m.

I’ve registered for YAR. What do I need to bring to the event?

To get into YAR, each registered event attendee will be required to present their electronic ticket and a government-issued ID at the door of the event. The name on your ticket must match the name on your ID.

Each attendee will be required to complete a bag check at the entrance of the event. Please note the list of items prohibited at the Ting Pavilion on their website.
