We also recommend that you visit the Charlottesville Visitors Bureau website to review other local options and make a reservation. We encourage you to book early, as accommodations are in high demand in the spring.
You are welcome to park at the Alumni Association throughout the weekend. We also encourage you to utilize ride shares like Uber or Lyft to ensure safe participation in the events.
Charlottesville in late April is typically pleasant, with warm sunny days and cooler evenings. We suggest you bring a few layers and dress comfortably for a variety of events.
From the Foxfield website: “You’ll see everything from Sunday Best to Country Casual for both men and women at the Foxfield Races. Women lean towards dresses, while men are usually in a shirt and tie, often paired with khaki shorts. Hats are a big favorite at the races! The most important thing to remember is to wear appropriate shoes or boots, as you will be in a field the whole day.”

Guests are invited to all events except the Saturday morning breakfast meeting. If you’d like to bring your children, they are welcome but please be advised that all children under the age of 12 are to be closely supervised during the events of the weekend.
