To attend Reunions, you must be a graduate of UVA or a registered guest of an alumna/us. Ticket prices are dependent upon your class year and the number of activities in which you choose to participate. If you are bringing guests, you must purchase a ticket for them and pay the associated per person registration fees for all additional activities in which they choose to participate.

You can cancel your Reunions ticket and receive a full refund until the cancellation deadline for each weekend:

  • Weekend I (May 30–June 2): 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
  • Weekend II (June 7–9): 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, June 3, 2024.

To cancel or make changes to your ticket:

  1. Locate your Reunions ticket confirmation email. The sender is “UVA Alumni Association” and the subject line is “Your Reunions 2024 Ticket Confirmation”
  2. Within the email, click “View or modify your ticket purchase by clicking here.”
  3. Enter your confirmation number when prompted (the confirmation number is located within your confirmation email).
  4. The system will automatically redirect you to your ticket confirmation page, where you can cancel or modify your ticket purchase.

If you can’t locate your ticket confirmation, email reunionsweekend@virginia.edu with your refund request by the deadlines listed above. Refund requests received after the deadlines will not be considered.

Bring it back to Grounds and build a weekend schedule curated to your interests. Reunions activities include a diverse mix of social events, academic offerings featuring UVA faculty, staff, and alumni, open houses and tours, small group receptions, and moments to reconnect and celebrate with classmates.

May 31-June 2, 2024 June 7-9, 2024

The UVA Alumni Association is committed to making Reunions an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. When you purchase your ticket for Reunions, you’ll have the option on the registration form to indicate if you require any disability-related accommodations to successfully participate in the event. If you do require an accommodation, a member of our team will email you about your request.

In the interim, if you have questions regarding accessibility at Reunions, please email reunionsweekend@virginia.edu.

Off-Grounds

Visit the Charlottesville Visitor’s Bureau website to review local options and make a reservation. We encourage alumni to book early, as accommodations are in high demand in the spring. In addition to Airbnb and Vrbo, check out Stay Charlottesville, a regional home rental option.

On-Grounds

The Alumni Association partners with Conferences@UVA to offer on-Grounds housing in dorms during Reunions. With no minimum stay requirement and rates starting at ~$50/night, you won’t find a better deal in Charlottesville! Visit the Conferences@UVA website to make your on-Grounds housing reservation today!

Please note:

  • Reservations will close two weeks before each Reunions weekend (May 16 and May 23, respectively)
  • All cancellations and/or changes to an on-Grounds housing reservation must be made no later than 21 days from your arrival date to avoid a penalty. A cancellation fee of one-half the nightly room rate will be applied for each night cancelled after that time. Cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the arrival date are not eligible for a refund. You must use the 2024 Reunions Reservations Change and Cancellation Form to make any changes to an existing reservation. Be sure to select “First Weekend (May 31-June 2)” or “Second Weekend (June 7-9)” in the dropdown box beside “Weekend Associated with this Reservation.”

Lawn and Range Rooms

Lawn and Range rooms were assigned in December 2023. If you have questions about an existing reservation, please email reunionsweekend@virginia.edu.

Colonnade Club

If you are a member of the Colonnade Club, please contact them directly to inquire about availability during Reunions.

Check in for Reunions will take place at Alumni Hall. Here, you’ll receive your nametag, which serves as your ticket for the events you’ve registered to attend, and other information. 20-minute parking is available for check-in. No permit is necessary.

During Reunions, Alumni Hall is open during the following hours:

  • Thursday, May 30, 12–6 p.m.
  • Friday, June 1, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 2, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Friday, June 7, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Lost items will be returned to Alumni Hall for pick-up throughout the weekend.

Reminder: Reunion tickets cannot be purchased or altered on-site at Alumni Hall during the weekend.

The attire for all Reunions events is casual, and we encourage alumni to dress so that they feel comfortable and festive.

Spring weather in Virginia is unpredictable, so please plan for a variety of weather scenarios. Additionally, indoor locations are heavily air-conditioned, please bring a jacket, shawl, or sweater to ensure you stay comfortable.

Additional details about the below parking options will be available in May 2024.

Accessible Parking

If you have a valid disabled permit or license plate displayed, you may park in an accessible parking space anywhere on Grounds. Click here to view an Accessibility Map of Grounds.

Free Parking

For your convenience, free parking will be available at Alumni Hall, the Emmet/Ivy Garage and the Culbreth Theatre Garage during Reunions.

Paid Parking

Paid parking will be available at the Central Grounds Garage via the ParkMobile app only. The University no longer utilizes parking attendants or kiosks to take payment. Please familiarize yourself with the app before coming back to Grounds if you plan to park in the Central Grounds Garage.

Access to on-Grounds recreation facilities is provided as part of your Reunions registration. Simply show your Reunions nametag at the facility to receive a guest pass. Call 434-924-PLAY or visit Virginia Recreation for more information.

The Alumni Association is taking steps to make Reunions a zero-waste event. By that, we mean that 90% or more of the waste generated by Reunions events is recycled or composted instead of being hauled to a landfill.

Here’s what you can expect to see on Grounds during Reunions:

  • Reduced paper at check-in. Instead of printing paper agendas for each guest, we’ll rely on the use of a mobile app and website for information sharing.
  • More sustainable hydration. Instead of using providing plastic water bottles at events, you’ll find refill stations (to be used with compostable cups or your own beverage container).
  • Composting at large events featuring food and beverage. To stay in line with the University’s goal to eliminate single-use plastic on-Grounds, plates, cups, utensils, and napkins at your evening class events will either be compostable or reusable.
  • Multiple types of waste bins. Instead of just trash bins, you’ll see recycling, composting and trash bins at large events featuring food and beverage. If you’re not sure where to toss an item, refer to the signage on the bins or ask a member of the catering team.

The most direct way to access Reunions events is by foot, due to lack of parking immediately surrounding the Lawn. However, if you have a valid disabled permit or license plate displayed, you may park in an accessible parking space anywhere on Grounds – including spots along McCormick Rd. near the Lawn. Click here to view an Accessibility Map of Grounds.

University Transit (UTS) Buses

You can ride any UTS bus for free by showing your Reunions nametag. Click here for schedule and route information.

Free City Trolley
The free city trolley connects students, community members, and visitors between Downtown Charlottesville, the Corner, and Grounds. To view the route, click here.

Celebrate Responsibly
We encourage alumni to celebrate safely and responsibly at Reunions. For your convenience and safety, please consider calling a taxi or car service to get home safely.

Yellow Cab of Charlottesville: 434-295-4131
Uber (Mobile App)
Lyft (Mobile App)

In May, registered alumni will receive an invitation to download the UVA Alumni Events app. The app will give you access to your personal schedule, the full weekend schedule, send you timely event updates, allow to you message other alumni, and much more!

The UVA Alumni Association works with the Office of Emergency Management to make decisions on whether to hold events outdoors or indoors, and these decisions often must be made as early as 9 a.m. for the entire day. This early call gives our partners (caterers, rental companies, AV/lighting companies, University facilities, event staff, etc.) time to adjust their logistics and move materials for these large-scale events.

Please know that we want nothing more than to host all our events (especially dinners) in their original outdoor locations. Nothing can compare to a dinner on the Lawn! However, the reality of a day in June in Virginia is that we must make the best decision we can with the information we have at the time we have it.

Inclement weather locations are listed in the description of each event. If the Alumni Association makes the decision to move an event, you will receive an email from the Alumni Association, and if you opt to download the UVA Alumni Events app you will receive a push notification. Updates will also be listed on the Reunions website and within the UVA Alumni Events app. If you do not receive a message, the event is taking place outdoors as scheduled.
