The UVA Club of Boston and Virginia Club of New York are bringing together a panel of experts on February 10th to address the ongoing challenge of hunger in America. Moderated by Paul Freedman, Associate Professor, Department of Politics at the University of Virginia, the discussion will focus on issues relating to food insecurity in the United States, with special attention paid to its impact on the UVA, Boston, and New York City communities. We hope that you will join us for this special discussion aimed at raising awareness about this critical challenge and what can be done to alleviate hunger in our communities.

• Catherine Drennan, Senior Director, Communications and Public Affairs at the Greater Boston Food Bank
• Shelby Gibson (EDUC ’17), Case Manager at UVA’s Office of the Dean of Students
• Joseph Montano, Director at the Meatloaf Soup Kitchen at University Community Social Services
