Virtual Chai Tasting

Join the Virginia Club of New York for an interactive tasting and presentation from Kolkata Chai Co. called Why We Never Say “Chai Tea” — A Brief History of Chai.
Participants will receive a packet of DIY Masala Chai and will simply need to provide hot water, a spoon, and a mug.
A member of Kolkata Chai Co.’s team will discuss the origins of tea and chai, how the spice trade affected the tea trade, and how tea has evolved in mainstream culture.
We will then explore the specifics of masala chai and South Asian tea preparation, touching on ingredients, variations, and stories.
We will spend the last 15 minutes of the class preparing the perfect cup of masala chai together.
The deadline for orders to be placed is Thursday, March 11th.
