UVA Clubs: Managing Finances with Dot Kelly
January 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
A new year is coming, and it is a great time to review your finances, including any employer-sponsored retirement plans such as 401(k) or 403(b) accounts you have. Join Dot Kelly (DAR ’92, PAR ’19), the Robert B. Hardaway, Jr. Lecturer — Personal Finance at the McIntire School of Commerce, as she discusses the risks and rewards of these plans, investment choices and allocations, and ways to make the most of your employer-sponsored retirement offerings throughout your career.
Alumni, friends, and families are invited to join the discussion to learn:
- How do you select funds to manage your risk tolerance, age, and the amount you’ll need to retire?
- Are you contributing enough to maximize your employer’s match? Should you contribute more?
- When was the last time you reviewed or rebalanced your portfolio?
