Join us for an Online Networking Event

Connect with UVA alumni from around the country and the world. Share your experiences, exchange career tips and build your professional network. t’s free, it’s only an hour and it’s fun!

How it Works:
Online networking enables you to speed-network from wherever you are. You can sign in from your home or office, on your smartphone or tablet. When registering for the event, you will be asked to answer a few questions, such as what advice you can provide for this event and what advice you are seeking.

The event is divided into six industry groups (or “booths”):
• Arts, Entertainment, Media, Marketing & PR
• Business, Finance & Economics
• Education, Social & Community Services
• Health Sciences, Nursing, Medicine & Public Health
• Public Policy, Government & Law
• Science, Technology & Engineering

Once in a booth, you will be paired with fellow alums for text-based chats (up to 10 minutes long) that will allow you to make a connection, exchange contact information and end the hour with several new connections you didn’t have before. After the chats, add your new contacts to your network by connecting on LinkedIn or following up via email. A transcript of your conversations will be saved for you to access after each event, so you can look back at your chat history, review your notes, gather contact information and follow up!
