Join the STUDIO Committee for a behind-the-scenes workshop performance at the New York Live Arts studio with Rashaad Newsome‘s FIVE. FIVE explores Voguing, a competitive dance form created by a subculture of Black and Latino LGBTQ and GNC New Yorkers in the 1970’s. In this show, five dancers, accompanied by a makeshift orchestra, will perform five individual elements of vogue fem. Following the show, attendees will enjoy a conversation with the artist, moderated by special guests and Live Arts staff, and a complimentary reception.
