Paul R. Provost on “Buy, Sell, or Hold: Some Perspectives on Navigating the Current Global Art Market”

Paul R. Provost is the Deputy Chairman at Christie’s, one of the world’s largest, most prestigious auction houses.  As Deputy Chairman, Dr. Provost advises Christie’s most important private and institutional clients on buying and selling works of art, and he plays a leadership role in negotiating and securing consignments of significant collections and iconic, high-value works of art, whether through auction or private sales. He holds a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in the History of Art and Architecture from Princeton University as well as a master’s degree from Williams College and the Clark Institute, where he was named Robert Sterling Clark Fellow.  Active in the field of historic preservation, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Historic House Trust of New York City and he is a trustee of The Preservation League of New York State. Paul will join members for a reception at 6:30 pm, followed by his talk at 7:00 pm.
