Join the Virginia Club’s Hoos Hungry community of interest for an interactive tasting and presentation from Kolkata Chai Co. called Culture & Cuisine: Discovering Diwali, Chai and a Taste of India.

Participants will receive a packet of DIY Masala Chai and will simply need to provide hot water, a spoon, and a mug.

A member of Kolkata Chai Co.’s team will discuss the meaning of Diwali (celebrated this year on November 4), its significance in culture, and how it is celebrated around the world.

We will then explore the specifics of masala chai and South Asian tea preparation, touching on ingredients, variations, and stories.

We will spend the last 15 minutes of the class preparing the perfect cup of masala chai together.

The deadline for orders to be placed is Wednesday, November 3rd. Only active members of the Virginia Club of New York may order up to two kits at the member price. Not a member yet? Click here to sign up!
