Join us for a conversation with Daniel Jones (CLAS ’85), Editor of the New York Times’ Modern Love, and Jane Alison, Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Virginia.

Beginning as a print column in 2004, Modern Love has grown into a multimedia franchise including two weekly columns, three books (Modern Love, Love Illuminated, and Tiny Love Stories, based on the column’s 100-word feature), a weekly podcast with more than 100 million downloads, “Modern Love Live” events, and an Amazon Prime TV series in its second season.

Daniel will recount his early experiences creating the column, the lessons he has learned about love in all its forms, and his perception of trends in relationships over the years.

Following the discussion, there will be a period of audience Q&A.
