Mead in Virginia – Featuring Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery
June 18, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm
Hill Top specializes in Authentic Honey Meads, which are ancient alcoholic beverages made from fermenting honey. They make Viking style mead, also called the “Nectar of the Gods” by the Greeks, Cyser, once enjoyed by the Anglo Saxons, a Roman style payment, along with other meads such as Perry, Metheglins, and Melomels from all corners of the ancient world. Owners Gregory and Kimberly Pugh will guide us through the history of mead and how their business came to flourish in the Blue Ridge Mountains, popular pairings, how they come up with their unique flavors, and an audience Q&A.
Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery will pick one lucky attendee will win a bottle of their choosing to be shipped to their home! Attendee must reside within a state they can ship in.
