Hoos in Entrepreneurship Knowledge Collective #1: Building a StoryBrand
December 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Our Virtual Knowledge Collectives are a chance for entrepreneurial Hoos from all over to get together and discuss a book or podcast with ideas that can change your business. The purpose of this series is to tap into the collective intelligence of our entrepreneurial community, infused with ideas from experts—because we all have so much to gain from the “power of we”!
Our first book will be Building a StoryBrand, a business book written under the premise that if you use the wrong words to talk about your product, nobody will buy it. Please read the book or listen to the audiobook; or, if time doesn’t permit, feel free to listen to one of many podcasts interviewing author Donald Miller. We’ll then have a group discussion about the ideas presented and how they apply to our businesses, and start putting the ideas into action in guided breakout rooms.
Building a StoryBrand teaches seven universal elements of powerful stories that improve how businesses connect with customers and clients; Seth Godin has called it “a seminal book built around an idea that will clarify, energize, and transform your business.”
Wherever you’re based and whatever point you’re at in your entrepreneurial journey, we’d love for you to join us!
Have you read or listened to something else that got you particularly inspired? We’d love to hear about it (and have you share with the rest of the Knowledge Collective)! Contact Allison to share: allisongeller1@gmail.com.
