Hoos in Entrepreneurship: Business Resiliency

August 20, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us for a discussion around building business resiliency, a topic on many of our minds during the “black swan” of COVID-19. How does one fortify one’s business against unforeseen existential threats? What are examples of companies we all know that have done so successfully–and those that have not? How could we all apply a dose of “productive paranoia” to our businesses?

Other topics to be discussed include how to hire the right people for your small business or startup—always a difficult thing to get right, but even more so in the time of corona and remote work. We’ll also share business “wins” and challenges of the last month.

About Hoos in Entrepreneurship: Dedicated to solving business problems, pooling expertise, sharing ideas, and connecting people, Hoos in Entrepreneurship is aimed at providing both practical help and moral support to UVA alumni entrepreneurs. If you run your own business or are working on starting one, this is the group for you. We are hoping to grow this group into a formal Community of Interest for the Virginia Club of New York. All Wahoos working in or interested in entrepreneurship are encouraged to attend! If you are unable to attend but are interested in getting involved with this community, please email the Club’s Executive Director at uvanyc@uvanyc.org.

You’ll receive an email with the Zoom link on the day of the event. We ask that participants register by 12:00 p.m. the day of the event.
