Farm to Table Cooking Class

Summer is here and that means peak local produce! In this hands-on farm to table cooking class presented by Hoos Hungry, Chef Kendall Singleton (CLAS ’07) will teach attendees how to create and cook a meal featuring seasonal products sourced from a NYC Greenmarket – think summer peaches, tomatoes, cheese, and other summer bounty! She’ll also share tips and tricks about sustainable eating and cooking gleaned from her experiences apprenticing on a family farm in Virginia, serving as UVA Dining’s first Sustainability Coordinator, and, most recently, teaching a recreational cooking class at Sur La Table in Manhattan. Attendees will also receive complimentary beverages and a recipe packet so they can recreate the featured dishes at home.
