Join Book Club on Tuesday, February 26th as we discuss James Baldwin’s novel If Beale Street Could Talk.
Young lovers Tish and Fonny are separated when Fonny is falsely accused of a terrible crime and imprisoned. As their families set out to clear his name, the couple faces an uncertain future and a kaleidoscope of emotions, from affection to despair to hope.
Join Book Club for an evening of community and conversation as we read “one of the best books Baldwin has ever written – perhaps the best of all.” We will also discuss the cinematic adaptation directed by Barry Jenkins, which was recently nominated for 3 Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay!
