The Virginia Club serves as a central liaison in connecting the Virginia Club to U.Va. affinity groups for the purposes of supporting philanthropic, professional development, and social endeavors in the greater NYC community. Please see below for more information on our current affinity groups.
Finance Networking Committee
The Virginia Club is currently in the process of scheduling industry-specific receptions within the financial sector. These will be designed as social encounters where individuals can meet other NYC-based Wahoos, grow their network, and share best practices as they relate to their business and career. To maximize the success of these events the Club is collecting information on UVA grads working in finance. Please fill out our 2017 survey to participate!
Hoos in Media
The Serpentine Society is the UVa LGBTQ alumni interest group whose mission is to provide educational, charitable, and social welfare services for, on behalf of, and in furtherance of the interests of the University of Virginia and its gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender alumni students, faculty, and staff. Be sure to join their NYC Facebook Page to find out more about this group and get involved!
University Soup Kitchen
The Virginia Club of New York provides volunteer groups for The University Soup Kitchen one Saturday each month to offer vital meals and social services to those in need. This local organization affectionately known as Meatloaf Kitchen, is 100% volunteer run and is dedicated to serving a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere to anyone who comes through the doors, no questions asked.
