Cavalier Admissions Volunteers (CAVs) help UVA’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruit New York students. Committee members attend college fairs at local high schools, assist with panels at admissions information sessions, and make congratulatory phone calls to accepted students. The Club also hosts three annual events: an Admitted Students Social for those who have been accepted to UVA (spring), a Student Send-Off Party for those heading to UVA (fall), and an Admissions Panel, with University representatives, for prospective students and parents (fall). While there is no monthly meeting for this committee, members are expected to participate in congrats calls and attend admissions-related events.
