6th Annual Arts Panel: Art + Film

Lights, camera, action! Join STUDIO for its sixth annual Arts Panel on Wednesday, April 27th, focused on the intersection between art and film. This year’s conversation will explore film as an art medium and commercial market, both with the ultimate goal of bringing people and communities together. Moderated by Jody Kielbasa, Vice Provost of the Arts at the University of Virginia and Director of the Virginia Film Festival, the panel will feature distinguished alumni and friends in the film industry, including:

  • Meredith Judkins (CLAS ’09), former Executive Director of National Publicity at Lionsgate
  • Tom Piper, Director of Production for the Checkerboard Film Foundation and an award-winning non-fiction filmmaker
  • Gretel Truong (CLAS ’08), Director of Communications at GENYOUth and former Film Campaign Manager for the Malala Fund
  • John Vanco (CLAS ’93), Vice President and General Manager at the IFC Center
