2019 Grants Application

The Virginia Club of New York’s grants are intended to invest in institutions that embody and encompass values consistent with its mission: “to create and maintain a strong connection between the University of Virginia and its students, alumni, and their families and friends in the tri-state region.”

Through its grants, the Club seeks to make charitable investments that support organizations that impact the University of Virginia and New York City communities and align with the mission of the Virginia Club of New York. Applicants are evaluated on five criteria: mission alignment with the Virginia Club, impact on UVA, impact on NYC community, impact on Virginia Club, and impact on applying organization.

Past recipients include: the Blue Ridge Scholarship, the College Foundation of the University of Virginia (for the Kenneth G. Elzinga Professorship), the Fresh Air Fund, the Glen D. Kirwin 9/11 Scholarship, Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership, the Jefferson Scholars Foundation, and University Soup Kitchen.

The Virginia Club of New York is currently accepting grants applications. All applications are due by Friday, September 14, 2018. Please direct all questions and inquiries to our Executive Director at uvanyc@uvanyc.org.
