Senior Analyst, Finance

Position Summary:

This Senior Analyst will provide financial analysis support to the programming departments. Assist the team with the analysis and maintenance of budgets and forecasts and monthly reporting via maintaining excel based forecasting models and trending actual results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in developing and maintaining the financial models used for the programming departments budgets, forecasts and long range plans:
Build budgets for individual channels. Incorporates actuals as received, Works with department managers to understand assumptions underlying budgets,Proactively suggests changes to improve efficiency of monthly procedures.
Assists in preparing monthly reports and summary schedules:
Create financial summaries on a monthly basis to provide to management.
Assist with preparation of monthly variance analyses:
Research monthly variances utilizing departmental reports,
Prepare summarized monthly budget / reforecast vs. actual reports,
Develop detailed reports by department in order to analyze variances.
Supports Ad Sales on an as needed basis including generating weekly and monthly reports and analytics. Assists with various ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will not have any direct reports.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • B.A in Finance or Accounting preferred.
    • 3+ years of financial analysis-related experience.
    • CPA or MBA a plus.

    • Organized & proactive, ability to multi-task, good verbal and written skills.
    • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and within teams, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong Attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with people and develop relationships across various functions and departments.
    • Ability to work independently; a strong self-motivator.
    • Must have legal right to work in the U.S
  • Technical Skills:
    • Excellent Excel skills a must for building complex models.
    • Financial analysis and quantitative skills.
    • Knowledge of PowerPoint, a plus.
