Kristina Bigby is a Communications Specialist, writer and blogger based in the Washington DC Metro region. Kristina, a native of Richmond, Va., received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. After graduation Ms. Bigby worked as a front line manager for Capital One Services, Inc. However, her desire for a communications career prompted her to leave the financial world for graduate pursuits at the University of Maryland, where she earned a master of journalism degree from the University’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. In 2008, Ms. Bigby worked on State staff for Obama for America, acting as a deputy to the Virginia Director of African American and Faith Outreach.
Kristina explores body confidence and healthy curves on her blog www.curvygirlchronicles.net, where she shares her story of body acceptance and self-love, spotlights female entrepreneurs and encourages women to boldly proclaim love for their bodies with the hash tag #ForTheLoveOfCurves.
