In the spirit of service and giving back to the community, the UVA Club of Washington, DC will also host a Bicentennial service project on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
We will join community members in beautifying Stanton Elementary School in Southeast DC. We’ll need help with a variety of projects inside and outside the school grounds to contribute to a clean and welcoming environment for the students and community.
– Classroom beautification
– Playground and community clean up
Children age 12 and older are welcome to attend.
– Parking available in the adjacent school lot.
– Public transport is available via the 30S Bus from downtown and/or via Metro (Blue Line to Potomac Ave and #30S Bus or Green Line to Anacostia and the Potomac Ave/Skyland Circulator).
More details will be communicated in the weeks to come, but mark your calendars for a weekend filled with celebration, service, and thoughts of UVA! To join us for our Bicentennial Celebration on Friday, October 6, click here for more information and registration details.
