Let’s meet for lunch to mingle, share cards, and make connections! The goal is to form relationships, share knowledge, and provide support to fellow Wahoos looking to grow their business and expand their network. Lunch will be $18 to be paid at the venue.
Real Estate Q & A Panel
If you have a question about real estate you’ve been dying to ask, you do not want to miss this event!
Instead of one guest speaker, this month a panel of real estate professionals will answer all the questions you’ve ever wanted to ask. The panel will include the following Lady Hoos!
Jennie Shaw (CLAS ’98)
A 1998 UVA graduate, Jennie opened her real estate business in 2002, putting her marketing experience and entrepreneurial talents to work. She quickly rose through the ranks, winning Rookie of the Year at her firm and laying the groundwork for a successful business by referral. Jennie is a dedicated advocate for her clients, and finds the fast pace of real estate perfectly suits her drive and determination. In 2008, in an effort to grow the business and increase client contact, Jennie brought in her long-time friend, supporter, and fellow Wahoo, Daphne.
Daphne MacDougall (CLAS ’99)
Daphne was new to real estate at the beginning of 2008, but her background in project management and her natural ability to connect with people instantly made for the perfect buyers agent. Her long history with Jennie means that together they make a formidable team and are able to work with clients seamlessly on both the listing side and the buying side. Daphne’s confident management of the buying process allows Jennie to focus her efforts on listing, marketing, and selling properties. Now partners, the “dynamic duo” is consistently ranked among the top agents at Joyner Fine Properties as well as in the Richmond-metro area.
Karen Stephens (ENGR ’84)
Karen graduated from UVA with a degree in engineering and earned her MBA from William and Mary. She worked in systems development and engineering before real estate. Karen’s goal as a real-estate broker is to help her clients find a home and community they love while providing a seamless and enjoyable transaction experience. She delivers a high level of service, combining years of experience in real estate with educational, professional, and personal backgrounds in engineering, business, and hospitality.
