U.Va Alumni Panel – Supreme Court Review featuring GWU Law School, Latham Watkins, Wiley Rein, and the Washington Legal Foundation

The Washington chapter, government relations group of the University of Virginia Alumni Association will sponsor a review of the current term of the U.S. Supreme Court, with a glance at the forthcoming term starting in October.
More than usual, the Court has rendered decisions on “hot button” issues. Come and hear experts from the academic and litigator world—George Washington University Law School, Latham Watkins, Wiley Rein, and the Washington Legal Foundation–for a discussion of cases dealing with affirmative action, same-sex marriage, voting rights, and DNA collection.
Looking ahead, what will the Court do with state bans against racial preferences, disparate impact involving race, Obama appointments under the Recess Appointments Clause of the Constitution, and questions on religion?
