Submit Award Nominations for Mr. Jefferson’s Capital Ball

The UVaClub of Washington, DC Awards Committee invites you to submit nominations for awards presented at Mr. Jefferson’s Capital Ball. The Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award and the Distinguished Young Alumnus/Alumna Award are given annually to recognize leaders who demonstrate a high level of professional accomplishment and philanthropy.
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS/ALUMNA AWARD
Given annually to an alumnus/a of the University of Virginia who has demonstrated exceptional and sustained leadership in his/her community. This person has made an outstanding service contribution by taking positive action that enhances the well-being and reputation of the University and their community at large.
DISTINGUISHED YOUNG ALUMNUS/ALUMNA AWARD
The award honors a graduate, from the Class of 2010 through Class of 2015, whose actions demonstrate exemplary personal service and commitment to the University. Additionally, this recipient has utilized the scholarship, leadership, and service experience they acquired at the University of Virginia to excel in their professions and contribute to their communities.
