Mr. Jefferson’s Capital Ball is the keystone fundraiser of the UVaClub of Washington Scholarship Fund.
Join Washington’s most prominent University of Virginia alumni to support local U.Va. scholarships and celebrate University traditions.
The opening reception and silent auction begin in the State Room at 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner and the formal program in the Grand Ballroom.
Live entertainment following the program will bring guests to their feet for an evening of dancing and celebratory drinks.
This annual gala also provides the UVaClub an opportunity to honor distinguished alumni, parents, and friends of the University for their leadership and service. Special guests are recognized and annual awards are presented.
This year’s keynote Speaker is Allen Groves, U.Va. Dean of Students.

Alumni/Parents/Friends Ticket Prices: $200.00
* Ticket sales will close on Monday, September 8th. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.
A ticket to Mr. Jefferson’s Capital Ball is an impressive package, including:
- Admission to the largest U.Va. black-tie in Washington, with an opening reception, a three course dinner, an evening of dancing with live entertainment, and celebratory drinks throughout the night.
- UPDATE – Directly after the ball, all ticket holders receive a complimentary drink ticket and admission to Chinese Disco (formerly known as George, DC).
