Welcome Hoos interested in learning the open source statistical analytic language “R.” Stu Rodgers, R guru, will lead the sessions, and participants will read Robert Tibishani’s text, “An Introduction to Statistical Learning with Applications in R.” Sessions are free, but we ask for respectful communication and patience with the collaborative learning process since participants will hail from diverse backgrounds. Sessions will convene the third Tuesday of the month from September 18th through December 18th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, in Room 112 at UVA Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church, Virginia (7054 Haycock Road, just west of the West Falls Church Metro station).
