HOOS IN IT TO WIN IT! 6th Annual UVA vs VT Food Drive Competition

UVA alumni are taking on Virginia Tech alumni in a charity race again this year! From November 1st until November 30th, the DC Hoos are competing with the DC-area Virginia Tech Alumni Association to see which alumni club can collect more online donations to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).
Donate online and monitor the tally. If the DC ‘Hoos win, VT will donate $50 to the UVA Club of Washington, DC Scholarship Fund! Please donate today to help us win and to help us feed hungry families in our area.
Since 1988, the Arlington Food Assistance Center remains dedicated to its simple but critical mission of obtaining and distributing groceries, directly and free of charge, to people living in Arlington who cannot afford to purchase enough food to meet their basic needs. AFAC currently distributes groceries to nearly 2,200 families every week. Over 35% of the people we serve are children.
