Dr. Alice Rothchild is a physician and co-chair of American Jews for a Just Peace.  In 2007, she wrote the book “Broken Promises, Broken Dreams:  Stories of Jewish and Palestinian Trauma and Resilience.”  In 2013, she produced the moving documentary film “Voices Across the Divide.”  Every year Dr. Rothchild takes a group of US health professionals to Israel and Palestine to explore the public health aspect of the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and to support peace activists.  Just World Books has published Dr. Rothchild’s new book, “On the Brink:  Israel and Palestine on the Eve of the 2014 Gaza Invasion,” which describes her experience in the West Bank and Israel this year.  Join us to hear Dr. Rothchild provide her uniquely empathetic perspective and her vision for the future.  Light appetizers will be provided.
