Don’t miss this peek into metalworking & surgery 9/23

Wednesday, September 23
6:00pm – 7:00pm

Free

All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to join the DC Hoos as Front Row Presents Mira du Plessis; a medical student, pilot, and artist pursuing blacksmithing and surgery.

This session offers a front row seat into how Mira merges her multilayer talents and exploration of working with her hands from the delicate precision of the lab to the brute force of a hammer and anvil at the forge. Often inspired by fantasy and fiction, “if she can think it – she can make it”. As a woman in the blacksmithing field, Mira has also continued in her own family lineage in pursuing medicine.

The event will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23rd. We highly encourage you to sign in virtually at 5:50 p.m. because you will not want to miss a single moment of this program!
