Race starts and ends at Freedom Plaza
The very best way to start Thanksgiving is by gathering with family and friends, doing something healthy and fun, and supporting the area’s homeless and hungry via S.O.M.E’s annual Trot for Hunger. This event is truly for everyone. Bring the kids. Bring grandma. Bring the dog. You can enter as a timed participant and race through DC’s beautiful downtown, or enter as an untimed participant (9:15 start) and take it at any pace. The race allows strollers and dogs on leashes in the untimed section.
Register to run on the DC Hoos team and be sure to enter “DC Hoos” under the team name.
There is a fee to register each participant ($35 untimed/$40 timed if you enter by 10/31). Please also consider making an additional donation to S.O.M.E. to boost the impact of our Virginia community at the race.
We will gather under a UVA flag in Freedom Plaza beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the statue of Casimir Pulaski on horseback (close to 13th Street NW).
