Please join us for fellowship and networking during our upcoming brunch at The Hamilton in DC on Sunday, December 10th. This event will feature a talk given by former UVA and NFL football player, Tony Covington (CLAS ’90). Tony has recently published his first book, I AM UNDERDOG: A Journey of Adversity & Blessings.

The breakfast buffet includes: French Toast, Vegetable Frittatas, Bacon, Sausage, Seasonal Fruit, Breakfast Breads, and Home Fries. In addition, complimentary coffee, tea, soda, and orange juice will be provided. A cash bar will also be available.

Tony Covington is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communications Studies. While at Virginia, he earned All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-American Honors in football. After college, Tony played for National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers for four seasons before finishing up his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks.

Tony has spent the last 17+ years affecting change with organizations such as the American Heart Association, the American College of Radiology, Special Olympics, the United Negro College Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters and currently with the NAACP. Tony is a motivational speaker; a mentor to both current and former student-athletes and has recently published his first book entitled, “I AM UNDERDOG: A Journey of Adversity & Blessings”.
