The Washington Nationals are hosting their 3rd Annual UVA College Day on Saturday, June 24th when they take on the Cincinnati Reds. Join the UVA Club of Washington as we cheer on former UVA baseball star Ryan Zimmerman, Racing President Mr. Jefferson, and our Washington Nationals!
The promotion will incorporate several UVA elements throughout the game. The past two years, former UVA basketball star Justin Anderson and former UVA football star Morgan Moses threw the first pitches, Cavman and our cheerleaders & dance team appeared at the game, the Nats played The Good Old Song, UVA alumni sang the National Anthem and God Bless America, concessions stands served UVA themed food (resembling the Gus Burger) and drink specials, and Racing President Tom won the Presidents Race!
Prior to the game, the UVA Club of DC will be hosting a pregame social event at Willies Brew and Que from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
As part of our day at the ballpark, our club will also be collecting donations for Horton’s Kids (led by a UVA alum!) and its “Back to School Drive” during our pregame social. Horton’s Kids needs your help so that at-risk children in DC can start school prepared and ready to learn: Operation Backpacks aims to collect 205 durable backpacks and school supplies for 115 children in grades K-5, and 90 children in grades 6-12. Please bring an item to donate, such as a backpack or school supplies like loose leaf paper, #2 pencils, glue sticks, composition notebooks, etc.

Outfield Reserved tickets come with a free New Era Nationals & UVA co-branded hat available when you enter Nationals Park (the hat is not included with the Right Field Terrace tickets). You must order your tickets through link to receive the special UVA pricing and the giveaway item.
