Starting July Off with a Bang!

From Charlottesville to the District, we may have forgotten what our GPA’s were or the title we gave our theses and capstone projects, but we have steadfastly held on to a similar sense of belonging as that of which we felt while immersed in the intellectual and social stimuli of TJ’s Academical Village.

We, DC Hoos – a network of alumni volunteers, strive to create that same community here in the Nation’s Capital. From the Lawn to the National Mall; from the Corner to U Street, Georgetown, and even Clarendon; from Scott Stadium to Nationals Park, RFK Stadium, and FedEx Field… Here in DC, you will always have fellow Hoos to sway by your side in a chorus of the Good Old Song.

In the same way we grew from 1st years to 4th years, the UVA Club of Washington, DC matures in its capabilities. The most recent, and perhaps most significant growing pain has been that of our website. The dramatic changes you will find here were only fitting to reflect the growing number of members and rate of participation that DC Hoos represents.

The #1 focus of the new and improved website is for you, our fellow Wahoos, to get involved! The opportunities are endless…

  • Meet the Board and read about the diverse purposes of our committees (or better yet, join one yourself!)
  • Leave a comment on a recent News post
  • Export events to your personal calendar and expect to have a good time!

Let’s all join hands and give a yell for dear old UVA!
