Talent management professional Mike Thompson provides an inside look at what many employers call the “war for talent,” both from employer and employee perspectives. During his presentation, Mike will:

About Mike Thompson

Mike Thompson (Darden ’85) currently serves as Director, Talent & Organizational Development at Grifols, a global pharmaceuticals/bioscience company headquartered in Los Angeles. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of learning & development, leadership development, organizational development, and management consulting. He has worked in both external and internal roles with major American and Japanese corporations, including State Farm Insurance Companies, Kaiser Permanente, The Cheesecake Factory, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Avon, Pratt & Whitney, Toyota, Panasonic, Komatsu, Daiichi Seimei Life Insurance, and Kaneka Chemical Corp.

Outside of his corporate career, Mike has held adjunct teaching positions at the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, the University of California, Berkeley, California Lutheran University, and California State University, Channel Islands.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tulane University, and his MBA degree from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
