About Mary Ryan

Mary Ryan (Col ’08) has spent the past five years managing, training and counseling students and professionals, in both private industry and in educational institutions. She has worked as a high-school career advisor, call center supervisor, and crisis-hotline volunteer. Mary is passionate about helping people find work that makes them alive (challenged, interested, and excited).

In October of 2014, Mary joined the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School as an associate director of career and leadership services. In this role, she provides consultative career management and leadership development services for the MBA@UNC student population of more than 600 experienced working professionals. As a member of the team, Mary combines her counseling experience and her personal MBA student experiences to help others succeed professionally.

Mary earned her BA from UVa in 2008, double majoring in Psychology and Studies in Women & Gender (SWAG), and she earned her MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2014.
