The Rev. Paul C. Deckenbach Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has been established in memory of the Rev. Paul C. Deckenbach.  Paul was honored to have attended the University, being able to do so thanks to the GI bill, and graduated in 1951 with a Bachelors of Philosophy.  He then went on to obtain his Masters of Divinity and was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1954, serving the church with devotion until his passing in 2012.

Paul cared greatly about the community and the world in which we live.  He was a strong supporter of the University and deeply appreciated the education that he was provided, and this scholarship continues his dedication.

This scholarship is open to rising third- and fourth-year students meeting any of the following criteria:

  • Major or minor in Philosophy
