The UVA Club of Charlottesville is partnering with the Greater Charlottesville Habitat for Humanity to kick off April with a group build for families in need. We will come together just two weeks before Thomas Jefferson’s birthday to extend UVA’s tradition of service beyond Grounds, and help serve those in need in the Charlottesville community.
This event is an all day event, and our registered slot is 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM. To comply with Habitat’s guidelines, we will only be able to accommodate about 10 people for this event, and those registered must be willing to work the entire shift. Children 15 and under are not allowed to be on site, and closed toed shoes are required.
Habitat does not know the location of the event until the week of the build. As soon as the build location is determined you will receive a follow-up confirming your location. Additionally, sometime shortly after you register you will receive an email from John Pond with additional information from Habitat for Humanity.
This is a rain or shine event! You will receive on site training and a safety briefing from a skilled site supervisor. Because space is so limited, if you find you can NOT make the event after registering, please let us know so we can fill your spot ASAP.
