About Debbie Allan

Debbie Allan (Col ’99) earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and government from the University of Virginia. She spent ten years in Human Resources in the financial services and insurance industries before joining Virginia 529 in 2009 as the Director of Human Resources. Debbie oversees the hiring, retention and development of the Virginia 529 team, and provides support through strategic planning, engagement, internal communications and workforce planning.

Debbie is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Richmond Society for Human Resource Management and the University of Virginia Alumni Association. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from the HR Certification Institute.
